Shiatsu

NEW! Shiatsu taster session for only £10

Together with my-yoga, I practice Zen Shiatsu as a senior student practitioner. Shiatsu – from the Japanese words shi, meaning finger, and atsu, meaning pressure - is a traditional hands-on therapy originating in Japan.

Treating the body as a whole, Shiatsu is a wonderful technique that rebalances energies in the body and stimulates its natural healing power. Shiastu can produce a deep sense of relaxation, relieving muscular and psycological tension, aiding sleep, increasing energy levels and ultimately bringing balance to body and mind.

Zen Shiatsu, also known as Masunaga Therapy, uses thumbs, palms, fists, elbows, and knees to put pressure along the meridians or energy channels so to restore all the physical functions and stimulate the mind and body to find harmony. Shiatsu is traditionally performed on a mat on the floor.

Shiatsu beautifully combines with yoga since it uses the same approach of wholeness and lots of therapeutic stretches. If you are interested in a treatment please contact me.

I love the way I feel after each shiatsu treatment with Giuseppina and think that they have been very helpful to me as a new mum. Johanna

The sessions proved to be immediately effective for some of my particular conditions. Giuseppina is very professional, dedicated and very giving in her practice of Shiatsu. Rav
